The National Assembly held second reading of the multilateral agreement on International Think Tank, today.
However, the house deferred the agreement’s ratification since some other documents backing the agreement need to be cross-checked.
Bhutan was suggested by the Mongolian foreign minister to consider joining the international think tank for landlocked developing countries in December, last year.
The International Think Tank was established by nine landlocked countries in 2003. The rationale behind this establishment was to increase development and reduce poverty in these countries.
