Punatsangchhu Hydroelectric Project Authority (PHPA) now has a new online system meant for efficient functioning of the project.

It is called “System Application and Product or S.A.P,” and was recently launched by the Economic Affairs Minister and Indian Ambassador to Bhutan, Jaideep Sarkar.

The S.A.P will help PHPA employees to have easy access to banking transactions, claiming insurance, and processing leave applications. Besides this, the online system will assist the staff in terms of telecommunications, and keeping records and data of the company for references should need be.

The system was developed by the Druk Green Power Corporation (DGPC) and Wipro Limited based in India by investing Nu 10m.

“The S.A.P will improve transparency in the project, reduces unnecessary expenditures and eases workload of the employees,” said Jambay Tshering, the Project Manager of S.A.P with DGPC.

The online system is implemented in both Punatsangchhu 1 and 2 hydropower projects.
