Thimphu Police apprehended a 22-year-old tripper truck driver for his alleged involvement in a recent auto-stripping case.
The suspect was caught red-handed by the Police patrolling team when he was trying to strip a Santro car at Olakha on the night of October 3. Though the suspect fled the crime scene after seeing the patrolling team, he was later arrested with the help of his cellphone which was left there.
Auto-stripping is a penal offence and a value-based sentencing.
