The Venerable Dorji Lopen of the Central Monastic Body conferred Tashi Lakdhar to the new Principal and Vice Principal of Pangri Zampa College of Astrology in Thimphu. He also appointed new Dung Lop, Zhung Bul Lopen, Debi Sungkhop and the Dratshang Choepoen of the Punakha Dratshang.
Sithar Gyeltshen, 37, has been appointed as the Principal of Pangri Zampa College of Astrology in Thimphu. After serving 11 years in Lhuentse Dratshang he studied astrology at the College. He then served as a senior teacher of the college for 13 years. Similarly the 34-year-old Sonam Rinchen has been appointed as the Vice Principal of the same institution. After studying astrology for 7 years in the college, he served as a teacher at the college for 13 years.
Lopen Sangay Khandu, 39, has been appointed as the new Dung Lop. He joined the central monastic body at the age of 10. Lopen Wangchu, 55, has been appointed as the Zhung Bul Lopen of the Punakha Dratshang. He joined Punakha Dratshang at the age of nine and served as Debi Sungkhob for nine years before assuming the current post.
Kuenga Norbu, 55, is now the new Debi Sungkhob. Prior to current appointment, he held important responsibilities like Kudrung and Choepoen of the Punakha Dratshang. He joined the Dratshang at the age of 7. Lopen Sangchu from Ruebisa Gewog in Wangdue Phodrang received Tashi Lekdhar as the Dratshang Choepoen. He joined the Central Monastic body at the age of 7 and held various responsibilities.
