The fire gutted three residential huts near the Wood Craft Centre office at Langjophakha in Thimphu, yesterday.
The occupants (staff of Wood Craft Centre) lost all their belongings in the fire. No casualties were reported. Wind gusts spread the flame to a nearby forest. Two choppers and fire fighting officials were deployed to contain the fire.
The cause of the fire is yet to be ascertained. Meanwhile, His Majesty’s Kidu office handed over semso to the affected families.
