Thimphu police have detained a 26-year-old man, carrying close to 700 Spasmo Proxyvon Plus (SP+) capsules, from Chuzom check post.
The arrest was made Tuesday night.
The man was travelling to Thimphu from Phuentsholing in a bolero when the police caught hm. He had the controlled substance hidden in the vehicle tool box.
He told police that he bought the drugs from Jaigoan for own consumption.
Police said both the driver of the bolero and the detainee tested positive for SP plus and morphine.
The driver, who was also arrested, has been released on bail.
