Trongsa town might get two three-storey car parks in the 12th Five Year Plan if the municipal’s proposal comes through.
Limited parking space is a concern in the town. “We are proposing separate car park structures in the 12th Five year Plan to ease parking congestion,” Municpal Engineer Pema Zangmo said.
“If approved, the car parks will be built in two different areas. The major one will be constructed opposite the farmers’ vegetable market. For that, we have proposed Nu 50 m,” she added.
The other parking lot would be built two hundreds away opposite Yangkhil Hotel. A budget of Nu 5 m was proposed for that.
Together, the two car parks, if approved, would be designed to accommodate about 60 vehicles.
