A fire this morning razed to the ground a two-storey traditional house in Shingchongri Chiwog of Dechhenling Gewog, Pema Gatshel.
The incident has left a family of six homeless.
The fire is believed to have started from the traditional earthen hearth in the kitchen of the house. Locals and DeSuups tried in vain to put out the fire.
The family lost all their belongings in the fire. They have been provided with disaster relief kits.
